Job 12:7 – THEY SHALL TELL THEE

Job 12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

The problem with us humans is that we try to out think everything. We sit down and try to reason through our problems rather than rely upon HIM for our answers. It is easy to sit down and quote Proverbs 3:5-6 but it is much harder to live out the principle of trusting in the Lord with all of our heart.

There are many times in the scripture that we are commanded to look to the animals to learn how we are to live our lives. It is too easy to worry about all our problems, to become focused upon everything that is going on around us.

Have you ever had an occasion where you spent many nights wrestling with some big decision you had to make? Maybe you were praying that God would do something that you really desired HIM to do. Several years later when you look back on it, you realize how God had your best interest at heart all along. While you worried about what was going to happen, God brought it to past in HIS perfect timing.

God created the entire world. There are many lessons we can learn by simply looking at HIS creation. Yes sin has entered into this world and it is not the same as it was when HE first created it. Nonetheless, we can still learn much about how God desires us to live our lives by simply studying how the animals of this world live their lives.

There are many stories of scientists who study many of the amazing things that animals do. These scientists tell us that according to the laws of physics, many of the things these animals do is impossible. Yet no one tells these animals that what they are doing is impossible. These animals simply do what God has installed into their being.

Look at the huge waves coming crashing in on the shore. Not one of those waves is the same. Look at the lush green hills outside and understand that God created each and every one of them. Look at the jagged cliff of some high mountain and realize that none of this happened by accident.

Nature has much to teach us about how we are to live our lives. When was the last time you stopped to smell the roses? When was the last time you thanked God for the beauty of HIS creation? When was the last time you studied HIS creation and allowed HIM to speak to you?

One of the most asked questions in the Christian walk is “How do I know the perfect will of God for my life?” The problem is that we are in such a big hurry to understand what God’s will is for our life so that we can do it that we do not stop and take the time to just grow in our relationship with God. It is easy to focus on all of our troubles, it is much harder to focus on God and learning to rest in HIS power.

It is time that you exercise a little patience and spend some time drawing closer to HIM. Put aside the things that distract you for just a few minutes and put the things of God first in your life. Just because everyone is impatient with life does not mean that you can be impatient with life. Stop and look at nature and allow God to teach you something today through the beauty of HIS wonderful creation.
