Thank you for visiting e-devotional. Many years ago, a mentor of mine told me that when he really wanted to learn what God had to say about a subject, he would read through the entire Bible with the mindset of seeing what God had to say about that subject. This mentor would keep a pad of paper beside his Bible and whenever the scriptures touched upon that subject, he would jot down a few notes. This mentor told me that he received more from the reading of God’s Word because he was always actively reading the Bible rather than passively reading the Bible.

In E-devotional, you have the opportunity to read the devotionals that God brings to my heart as I have been following the example of my mentor. Every year, starting on September 1st, I will start on a new journey of seeing what lessons that God has for me upon a particular topic. In September 2005, God started me on an eight year journey that covers the eight precious promises that HE has commanded us to add to our lives as found in 2 Peter 1:4-8.

I welcome you to subscribe to the E-devotional mailing list. I do not sell your contact information or use it for any purpose other than to send you the daily devotional.

James 2:15-16 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
You can speak with your words and you can speak [...]

James 2:14 – WHAT DOTH IT PROFIT

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
You can say what you want, but the true evidence of the life changing power of God in your life will come from your actions. A little boy could say he is a [...]

James 2:9 – YE COMMIT SIN

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
In this chapter, we are instructed that we do well if we love our neighbor as ourselves. We are then told that if we show partiality, that it is sin. While this chapter focuses upon the [...]
